Healing Rays

I thought I would wet you appetite with the kind assistance of Healing and Revival .com to read the book “Healing Rays” by George Jeffreys' is a superb book on biblical healing. This was written in 1932 - when the author had been in Christian ministry for 17 years and had seen tens of thousands of conversions and thousands of healings in his Revival and Healing Campaigns across Britain.

The book is split into 12 chapters over covers a lot about Christian healing in the name of Jesus Christ. The why, how to, why sickness, what can we do, medicine, attitude, spiritual state etc. and why not everyone gets healed including Christian suffering. Jeffreys' covers the subject of healing from a Scriptural perspective and writes with authority having seen the blind see, the death hear, the dumb hear, cancers shrivel up, the lame to dance etc. etc. and filled halls across the country week in week out. The author also quotes from quite a few other sources proving that God's power in healing through his surrendered servants has never ceased.

Much has been written about George Jeffreys due to the fact that he was the founder of the Elim and Bible Pattern movement, a little more has been said about the outstanding crusades conducted by George and Stephen Jeffreys and the amazing ways both men were used a vessels for the delivery of mighty miracles and acts of divine healing. Having said this, the greatest miracle of all seen was the salvation of countless thousands of souls.

Growing up and being part of the Bible Pattern, Elim and United Apostolic Faith Church I have seen the positive and negative sides of Christian life within a family who have know personally many of those included in the following story. Being brought up with the Biblical counsel of 1 Corinthians 14:40 “Let all things be done decently and in order”, I have set out to share this testimony of God’s goodness as encouragement, for the next generation to inspire them to embrace the full counsel of God’s word without falling into the trap of excess and bringing God’s work and Word into disrepute. I believe many have avoided ministry to the sick and the work of the Holy Spirit and by doing so have “thrown out the baby with the bath water,” so to say, because of seeing excess or failing to understand God’s Word in relation to Divine healing and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. As you read this story you will clearly see that the Acts of the Apostles did not finish at the end of the book of Acts found in the New Testament.

You may wonder why I am recalling these stories, the Bible tells us why!

The Bible-Pattern Church Fellowship was founded in 1939 by Principal George Jeffreys. Differences of opinion regarding church governance eventually led Pastor Jeffreys to withdraw from what later came to be called the Elim Pentecostal Church and form the first Bible-Pattern Church Fellowship in Nottingham in 1939.
